To help keep the rug in place and provide more movement and freedom for heavy horses, the cotton summer sheet comes with a tail flap and shoulder gusset. For additional comfort, we have inserted soft nylon lining at the chest area of the rug to help prevent any friction or rubbing.
If you’re looking for something to cover your horse entirely, the Cotton Combo Rug is the perfect solution. Made from quality 400gsm 100% cotton, this heavy horse summer sheet is soft and strong. This summer rug also comes with nylon lining at the mane line and chest to help prevent rubbing and friction. The tail flap is useful for heavy horses who are prone to rubbing their tails, so this rug can help to prevent that whilst they travel or whilst stabled.
Heavy Horse Fly Rugs
As well as fly masks, which you can choose with or without ears, to help protect your horse against insects and bugs from irritating them, we also have fly rugs for heavy horses.
