Lycra Shetland Hoods
Ideal to help to prevent stable stains, keep Shetlands warm and to help keep plaits in place, these versatile lycra Shetland hoods are really beneficial when preparing for competitions. These hoods are only suitable for Shetlands and not miniature horses, as they have been designed to accommodate the broader face. To make our lycra Shetland hoods easier to put on and take off, we have ensured that they have zips, so even the naughtiest little Shetlands can be fitted with a comfy Shetland hood. Our Shetland Lycra Hood with Zip is available in plain or patterned fabric, so you can choose the design you prefer the most for your Shetland.
In our lycra Shetland hood range, we also have a lycra hood with zip that is made from four way stretch nylon and has been treated so it’s water repellent. Although the Shetland Water Repellent Lycra Hood with Zip isn’t waterproof, this water repellent hood will absorb less moisture. The lycra Shetland hood comes in a zipped bag with handles, making it easy to store when they’re not required, and are able to be washed, providing that biological products are not used.
Lycra Miniature Horse Body Suits
At Ruggles, like our lycra hoods, we have a range of lycra miniature horse body suits available in different colours and patterns, from stars to leopard print. These miniature horse body suits also come with detachable tail covers, helping to keep your miniature Shetland extra clean before a competition. To help further prevent any rubbing and keep the coat smooth, the stitching has been reversed intentionally, so the rougher stitching is on the outside. Our miniature horse body suits are also made from four way stretch lycra and have a belly band to keep the body suit in place and help to keep the underside cleaner.
Due to the size of the head on our miniature horse body suits, this isn’t suitable for Shetlands and donkeys. Similar to our other miniature horse body suits, the Miniature Horse Lycra Body Suit with Detachable Tail has had the stitching reversed for the utmost comfort. The detachable tail cover fixes on with Velcro patches, making it an efficient and effective addition to the body suit.
